Congratulations {first_name}, you are the winner of the Shirley Swartz Nursing Scholarship from the Rotary Club of Colonial Park Foundation. Your award is for two years for a total of twenty one thousand ($21,000) for tuition or program expenses.
Before we can present you with your award you must send the letter of acceptance from the college you will be attending showing proof to the Foundation you have been accepted into a college degree program starting in August/September 2025. The letter must be on college letterhead, which shall also include the course you were accepted in, before the scholarship shall be awarded. Please email a copy of the letter to us at the email address listed at the end of this letter no later than July 31, 2025.
To receive funding for your scholarship, you shall submit the invoice from your college for the 2025 Fall semester to the Foundation for direct payment to the school when received. Funds will be issued at the beginning of the first semester for five thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($5,250) for tuition or program expenses, payable to your college in the student’s name. At the end of the first semester, when you send a transcript from the college that shows you had a GPA of 3.0 or higher, you will receive five thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($5,250) for the 2026 Spring semester tuition or program expenses after sending us the invoice from your school, payable to your college in the student’s name. The following Fall semester of 2026 and the Spring semester of 2027, you will receive the same amounts for a total scholarship over two years of $21,000. You must continue to have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to receive this award for each semester.
Once you receive the invoice from your college for the 2025 Fall semester, please forward via email the invoice along with your student number and address where to send check to pay the invoice to:

If there is no activity in this scholarship award by December 31, 2025, the scholarship will terminate, and no funds will be released from that date forward.
Also, if possible, you are requested to attend a luncheon of the Rotary Club of Colonial Park at a time convenient for you when you are on school break, to share an update with the club on your progress. Lunches are every Wednesday at 12:15 PM at the Colonial Golf and Tennis Club on Linglestown Road. You will be a guest of the club for lunch and are to contact Scott or Aaron at the end of your first year to coordinate the day you will attend the Rotary meeting. We like to follow our students who have received scholarships from the club.
